Sanctuary Hill is available to hire for retreats, corporate events, team-building days, workshops, weddings and special occasions. Surrounded by nature, our beautiful spaces offer a warm and peaceful setting to bring people together, share good food, create, celebrate and connect. Whether you're planning a purposeful team day, a retreat, an intimate celebration or something completely your own, we’d love to help you make the space yours.
THE GROUNDS
Our retreat is surrounded by lush, rustic gardens, embracing the natural beauty of the land. As you enter through Veale Road, you’ll walk past our orchard, abundant with a variety of fruit trees that change with the seasons.
- We have two carparks—one near the main house at the top and another in front of the studio. You are welcome to park in either space.
- The gardens offer a mix of wild and cultivated spaces, inviting you to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature. Whether you're wandering the pathways, resting under a tree, or listening to birdsong, our land provides a nurturing and grounding atmosphere for your retreat experience.
THE STUDIO
Our light-filled studio is the heart of our retreat space, designed to support a variety of movement, meditation, and healing practices.
- The space comfortably accommodates up to 20 mats or 50 chairs.
- We provide a full range of high-quality equipment to support different events, including yoga mats, bolsters, blocks, straps, and meditation cushions.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Our accommodation is designed with comfort and tranquility in mind, offering peaceful spaces for guests during our retreats, longer events, and trainings.
The bedroom distribution is a follows:
1. Yoga Studio: 1 Bedroom
2. Retreat Wing: 2 Bedrooms
3. Cabin: 1 Bedroom
4. Lodge: 4 Bedrooms
Total rooms: 8 Rooms
Total beds: 17 beds
Each room has a different available set up. There can be King beds that convert to single beds, or only single beds.

Why we don't take bookings directly?
Airbnb offers insurance for both guest and host. It also provides live availability in booking calendar and support for bookings and cancellations.

We offer ample communal spaces, including a cozy lounge area where guests can relax, read, or share meaningful conversations. These shared spaces provide a comfortable environment for group gatherings, fostering connection and a sense of community.
The dining area is thoughtfully designed to accommodate nourishing meals, with an emphasis on healthy, locally sourced ingredients that align with the rhythms of nature. Our kitchen facilities are available for those staying for longer periods or attending specific events, providing the option to prepare meals at your convenience.
For those seeking privacy or a quiet moment, there are numerous outdoor spaces to explore, including tranquil gardens, shaded areas for reflection, and walking paths. Whether you’re looking to sit quietly by yourself or share a peaceful moment with others, our grounds offer a variety of settings to meet your needs.
THERAPY ROOM
This lovely cozy room is used for Sound Therapy Sessions and Massage Therapies.
If you are hosting our own event, you can add these services to your offering or rent the space for you own therapies.
It includes a comfortable massage table and heating.
SPA POOL
There is nothing more soothing that a warm dip underneath the trees and listen to the birdsong. this is also a very favorite spot for our guests as they watch the incredible New Zealand night sky.
With a capacity for 6 guests, the spa area becomes a place of unwinding and also beautiful chats and connections.
