Body Wisdom Retreat
September 15th to 18th' 2023
Having a deeper understanding about ourselves can be a process of clearing away confusion and limited understanding, so we are able to see a wider picture of our life. Knowing our constitution and inner design can bring us a map of our emotional and thought patterns, and ultimately it can be empowering because it shows us how to access our inner truth.
This retreat provides space to unplug from technology and daily demands in order to reconnect with our inner wisdom to nurture our body, heart, relationships and creative expression.
You’ll be able to recognize habits of the mind and the voice of your inner wisdom, and be able to apply this to your daily life as you move onto the next phase of your journey.
Yoga twice a day
Premium rooms with nature views
Plant based nutrient dense meals

What to expect
All activities in our program are included and the opportunity to attend all of the yoga and meditation sessions. The schedule is designed to include two yoga classes a day, apart from Friday which will only include one yoga class after your arrival. Morning classes are intended to be with more movement to start that day and warm up. These classes will be according to the subject of balancing the "doshas" (the three energies that circulate the body determining an individual's temperament and physical constitution). This yoga practice is suitable for all levels.
On Saturday, will be focused on the principles of health through Yoga and Ayurveda. Ayurveda views each person as unique with individual needs. We may all be human but we have slightly different physiologies and emotional tendencies. Ayurveda teaches that for this reason, each person's path toward optimal health is also unique.
Human Design is a system that uses ancient and modern science to explain our role in the cosmic dance of life. From the Chakras to Quantum theory, Human Design explains how your energy is arranged, what your aura communicates to others and most importantly, how your body is designed to make decisions. Your body - not your mind - is designed to guide you through life.
Using the information on your body graph, Laurie can confirm what gifts you are here to share with the world and what powers you need to honour within yourself. Using an adjunct system called the Gene Keys, she can also shed light on any shadows inhibiting your growth or preventing you from blooming to your fullest potential.
Come with an empty mind and open heart, ready to see and experience yourself in ways you haven’t considered.
You can prepare for this session by printing a copy of your chart from www.humandesignamerica.com. An accurate birth time is crucial.
Our wonderful guest speaker Laurie Silver will explore the gifts and shadow frequencies activated in our genes, bringing the unconscious patterns to the light so we can align to our most radiant Self.
Sanctuary Hill is surrounded by the lush greenery of the Taranaki region. During this Retreat you can walk around the property to enjoy the views of Mt. Taranaki, listen to the birds of the region, walk through the orchard and visit the different areas around our property. If you are feeling more invited to rest back and enjoy the view, you can relax in our various outdoor areas to bask in nature.
The carefully prepared meals at Sanctuary Hill have a special mention on our guide. Our chef crafts extraordinary menus that are rich in natural, plant-based whole foods and herbs and contain no artificial substances or common allergens. Chef prepares all meals with seasonal, organic, locally available ingredients and with as much naturally grown ingredients from our own garden. Beautiful, delicious and so, so good for you—the food we serve is meticulously prepared to fuel both body and soul. All special dietary requirements are accommodated.

What YOGA means to us
Yoga is at the heart of our retreats, and we offer the real deal. From the physical practice, the environment where you move, the food you eat, is all part of the philosophy of an integrative way of living. The goal of the physical practice is to challenge you physically but most importantly to quiet the mind. That’s what yoga is all about – calming the mind. And that’s what we teach on our yoga retreats. You will feel re-energized and restored both physically and mentally.
We are truly looking forward to welcome you to join us on an amazing adventure. Have a question we've not yet answered? Please don't hesitate on contacting us.
