Winter Wellness Retreat

August 6th - 9th '  2021

Winter season draws us naturally to quiet and introspective practices. Take this cue of nature and make winter an opportunity to dive deep into your practice. Join our annual offering, as this has become a popular Retreat for returning guests.

In order to maintain internal balance through the shifting of the seasons, it is vital that we change with the seasons just as nature does. On this retreat you will learn how to smoothly transition through winter by adapting our daily habits, yoga practice and food choices. Ironically it is only through change that you can stay better grounded through the shifting of the seasons.

Embrace your inward journey towards mindfulness, relaxation and a blissful sense of being.

Highlights:

  • Yoga twice a day

  • Premium rooms with nature views

  • Delicious meals

  • Nature walk

  • Wellness workshop

  • Crystal Sound bowl healing session

  • Warm group environment

  • Optional Massage Therapy

What to expect

Yoga:

All activities in our program are included and the opportunity to attend all of the yoga and meditation sessions. The schedule is designed to include two yoga classes a day, apart from Friday which will only include one yoga class after your arrival. Morning classes are intended to be with more movement to start that day and warm up. The evening classes are a restorative style to  prepare us for a good night sleep. We specialize on Traditional Hatha and Restorative styles.  Beginners to yoga will get an introduction to yoga postures, breathing practices and relaxation techniques, while the more experienced will be guided in how to deepen their practice.

We feel dedicated to your personal evolution. Our team of wellness experts provides workshops and education to help you achieve your health related goals. Our guest speakers and lifestyle mentors support deep inner work to facilitate lasting and real change on your mindset and perspective toward healthy living.

Workshops:

Yoga is a very broad spectrum of knowledge. In this Retreat we will talk about the 5 pillars of Wellness as presented through Yoga, which is a holistic approach to our whole being. Learn more about quality sleep, stress management, healthy eating habits and food choices to take home knowledge that sustains your well-being.

We will enjoy a Sound Healing evening session on Saturday. The crystal ‘singing’ bowl is made of quartz and the effect upon the body and consciousness of the individual is tremendous. Crystal Sound baths help to facilitate a shift in your brain waves so that a deep state of meditation and internal healing can occur. Crystal sound therapy is just one way of achieving a meditative state without having to master the practice of meditation. This experience is perfect for beginners however those more experienced can reach a theta state (deep meditation) or even a delta state (where internal healing can occur).

What YOGA means to us

Yoga is at the heart of our retreats, and we offer the real deal. From the physical practice, the environment where you move, the food you eat, is all part of the philosophy of an integrative way of living. The goal of the physical practice is to challenge you physically but most importantly to quiet the mind. That’s what yoga is all about – calming the mind. And that’s what we teach on our yoga retreats. You will feel re-energized and restored both physically and mentally.
